There are DJs who don't even wear the appropriate attire - and that's IF they even arrive on-time. Choosing a DJ who is the right fit for your event is paramount to it's success. You want the right amount of energy, charisma, and personality. Obviously, the right song choices are crucial.
Make sure you speak with your DJ early in the decision-making time frame, and if possible - see her/him at an event. Realize, however, that the way they are is fitting for *that* crowd.
We have a DJ who even goes beyond the barriers of "just a DJ" - and thios is why you may even want to consider him, or a band:
Enter the Live music DJ. A DJ who plays live instruments with the music – it's like having a Jazz Band (during dinner) and a Dance Band (during dancing)! Or choose a live band!
Make sure your DJ choice isn't "overly" personable for your taste, and not simply "under" personable. It should be a good fit for your personality. Some DJs actually go into the crowd and "drag" people to the dance floor. Ask your perspective DJ about this, as some do this (we don't) and your guests just may find it embarrassing or pushy. they may think it's great, but again, talk with your DJ.
