Choosing A Wedding Car

BROUGHT TO YOU WITH COMPLIMENTS BY BEST ONE ENTERTAINMENT

When choosing car hire for weddings you first have to decide if you are looking for a vintage, classic or modern car, not forgetting American cars. All have their merits.

Before all this you have to consider the size of the dress as access is important. Do you need a four door or will a wide two door be acceptable (American and coupes are quite often two door)? Also to be considered is the height of the Bride!! Yes height is important if you are considering a classic Jaguar as your wedding car. The Mk II Jag is very popular but is not suitable for a tall Bride over 5'7" or so. Brides with a large dress should know that leg room is somewhat restricted.

Leg room in Vintage and most Classic wedding cars up to the late thirties is more than enough for any size bride or wedding dress. Modern wedding cars less so unless you consider Mercedes wedding car hire as the ‘E’ Class and the ‘S’ Class have good leg room especially the LWB ‘S’ Class.

Colour is a consideration by most brides who are usually looking for a nice contrast to the dress with many looking for a Burgundy, Dark Blue or a rich Cream coloured car so that the dress stands out in the photographs. Most professional photographers will tell you a white dress and a white car combination is very difficult to photograph really well and will recommend a good contrasting colour.

Wedding car hire prices vary tremendously depending on the area you live in, the type of wedding car you choose and the distance involved. There are some quite inexpensive cars available but they tend to be from single car owners and may not have backup if a problem occurs. So you should consider a company that has been around for a good number of years and will employ mechanics with years of experience to maintain their cars. Any wedding car company worth its salt will have a really comprehensive website which will give you prices and allow you to check availability online.

One last thing, make an appointment to view the wedding car or cars that you are considering so you can judge for yourself the amount of leg room and ease of access. Most experienced wedding car companies will have a wealth of information and know the better photographers, florists, cake makers etc so tap into their knowledge.
