As we are all getting married in a less conventional way these days, we find that children are in far greater attendance at these and other events. If you would like to breathe more easily during your festivities, we recommend wisking the children away to a small event of their own.
Providing children with an alternative to sitting around at a weeding table with the adult guests is an inexpensive and convenient way to give all your guests a chance to relax and celebrate with you, without too much distraction. You may want to go with a generic character as opposed to a clown for less interference with your own theme. In fact most children’s entertainment companies will be happy to provide someone to entertain the children without a costume per-se.
But you can still benefit from their skill in drawing the children out and providing them with some celebration of their own.
At a standard party, very little space is required for most entertainers to play games , make toy balloons, do a little magic show and paint the faces of the children if appropriate. It is also not extraordinary for the performer to modify a standard party to suit the needs of your event ( you may not want the children’s faces for instance, or you may have a very small space, or prefer to have the children play outdoors). All in all, it is a very inexpensive and truly celebratory way to take care of the bay sitting aspect you may wish for, without offending parents, you might otherwise wish left their children at home.
Another money saving tip to consider, is hiring the performer and providing a little separate ( less expensive) lunch for the children in a separate space or at a separate table all together. Children don't find much to celebrate about adult food anyway, so this might often make them happier as well. Most party companies will provide an entertainer for as little as $110 for the first hour and $40 each additional half hour and play with children in any space that is convenient for you.
