Listen to Debbie Allen
I started my singing career later on in life after my family had grown up...
Firstly I started out Going to college to study popular music which included performing live on a theatre stage and learning about every aspect of the music industry (sound engineering, recording, music theory, the music industry, etc…. Through the hard work I put in I gained myself a National Diploma of which I’m very proud of.
I have also furthered my knowledge in the business side of the industry and gained a certificate in Entrepreneurship...
I have worked with many session musicians writing my own music, ENGINEERED and produced my own RECORDINGS (VOCALS and backing vocals are all my own work). Fronted a rock band and performed live with a Fleetwood Mac tribute band as Stevie Nicks for four years making appearances at many venues including The Brindley Arts Theatre...The whole experience has been amazing and very fulfilling. Unfortunately the band split last year so I decided I would like to further my career and go solo...since going solo my singing career has taken off.
I auditioned for X Factor last year and got through to boot camp...meeting many of the finalists, hosts Dermot O’Leary, Holly Willouby and judges Danni Minouge, Louis Walsh, the lovely Cheryl Cole and last but not least Simon Cowell...what an experience that was...
I have since entered more talent competitions( some still ongoing including audition for Britain’s Got Talent, got through the heats for Northwest Talent Search and earned a place in the finals which is to be held in November 09.. and finally winning one local competition which was quite recent becoming BB’S Idol...
Having performed at many pubs, clubs and private party’s over the last year as a solo artiste including a three day festival at Stockton Heath this July, my confidence has grown as a performer, I love doing what I am doing and I love it more when my audience wants me back ..
I am a self contained artiste with a 1200 watt PA system including a light show and have a vast range of repertoire...ranging from 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s through to the present day..From rock, classic power ballads to disco diva classics, etc... I’m always learning new songs; my personal favorites I sing are Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Anastacia, Christina Agiulera, Duffy, Leona Lewis and many more… I would love to do a Celine Dion tribute one day...
