The Rockferry Tribute Show

 

Beth McCann's 'Rockferry' tribute show launched in 2008, since then Beth has without doubt become the most sought after Duffy tribute at home and abroad. A massive Duffy fan Beth takes great pleasure in imitating the soulful tones of the Welsh Songbird and prides herself on her ability to mimic flawlessly the mannerisms and the complex vocal style that have made Duffy such a huge success.

 

In the last few years the Rockferry Tribute Show has delighted audiences at home and abroad. In 2010 Beth was honoured to perform with her fabulous band Hufen Ia Poeth at the latest Mathew Street Festival, as you can see from the photos and videos it was an incredible day. Beth says, 'There is no better feeling than thousands upon thousands of people singing back to you.'

 

Beth loves singing all the hits from the Rockferry Album and even had a number of tracks from the Deluxe edition specially made for the show. 'I spent a lot of time and effort putting together the Rockferry Show because I wanted to do justice to the talents of the woman I'm imitating' says Beth, 'I considered it a complete necessity to have all the covers Duffy performs in her shows made just for me including the B Side of the US release of Mercy. I am the only Duffy tribute to perform these tracks, I think authenticity is so important and it comes across in the show.'

 

The Rockferry Tribute show is simply inimitable and is available as a one hour performance or as 2 x 40 minutes and can be fully self contained with an incredible concert quality sound system or with the incredible Hufen Ia Poeth live band. For those who want the live sound without the price tag, two Duffettes in the style of Duffy's own backing singers and an exceptionally talented guitar soloist can be added for Duffy acoustic tracks. Both shows are completed by a fully computerised lighting system and a sound and lighting technician.
